This week, Rabbi Miriam Lorie invites us into her succah to reflect on vulnerability in a 90-second video sermon.
Torah:
"You shall dwell in sukkot for seven days so that you will know with every fibre of your being that your ancestors dwelt in sukkot during their stay in the desert when they were leaving Egypt".
Rabbi Alan Lew:
"In the sukkah, a house that is open to the world, a house that dwelt acknowledges that it cannot be a basis for our security, we let go of this need... we are flush with our life, feeling our life, following our life, doing its dance, one step after another".
What a vulnerable, hopeful moment, at a vulnerable, hopeful time in history.
