Ever experienced things hitting rock bottom, and then when you think they can't get any worse, a breakthrough happens and the situation resolves in a striking way?
Our phenomenal origin story as a people, the splitting of the Reed Sea and our people walking through into freedom, takes place in this week's parasha at the darkest point of the night, but as the night watchmen know, morning WILL come.
While we might not see miracles as clearly these days, I feel a breakthrough coming in Israel and Gaza, perhaps because it has hit rock bottom and something simply must shift soon. Praying for that this Shabbat.
