This week's parasha is called "how I met your daugher" (also Chayei Sarah).
We all know that honesty is the best policy. But what about emphasising some details and minimising others? What about when there are many different ways to tell the same story?
And what about "this" devastating story we, the Jewish people, find ourselves in?
I'm seeing the stories told in so many different ways. I believe there's a discernment in telling stories in the way people can hear. It's a huge challenge that requires a lot of empathy and willingness to understand where other people are, to shift a potention clash of perspectives into the storytelling discernment that Eliezer has in our parasha.
